Year 1 Supply Teacher – Primary (Flexible Days)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire and surrounding areas. This flexible, full‑time temporary role allows you to step into classrooms on short notice, supporting young learners while enjoying a balanced work schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 1 curriculum in line with school policies.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Provide day‑to‑day instruction with minimal planning and marking responsibilities.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and student needs.
• Collaborate with permanent staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability to work in various school environments.
• Professional, proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Effective communication with young children.
• Ability to follow established lesson plans.
