Year 1 Supply Teacher – Primary (Romsey)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire, including Romsey. This temporary, full‑time role offers flexible daily assignments, allowing you to support young learners while enjoying a balanced work schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 1 curriculum and support pupils in literacy, numeracy and personal development.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Adapt lesson plans quickly to suit the needs of each school and class.
• Complete minimal marking and planning required for day‑to‑day teaching.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability to work in different school settings.
• Professional attitude and proactive communication.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
