About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across South Hampshire. The role offers flexible, day‑to‑day assignments with immediate start dates, ideal for teachers who value work‑life balance and varied classroom experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils following the school curriculum.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and timetables.
• Provide minimal planning and marking, focusing on day‑to‑day delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with early‑year pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Adaptability and confidence in varied school environments.
• Proactive, professional attitude and passion for supporting Year 1 learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
