Year 1 Supply Teacher – Primary (Southampton)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Southampton and the wider Hampshire area. This temporary, full‑time position offers immediate start dates and flexible daily assignments, allowing you to support young learners while gaining experience in a variety of classroom settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 1 curriculum in line with school policies.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Provide day‑to‑day lesson plans with minimal marking and planning requirements.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different school contexts.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 pupils.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.

• Professional attitude and proactive communication.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
