About the role

Reed is seeking enthusiastic Year 1 supply teachers for primary schools across Hampshire, with immediate placements available in Southampton and surrounding towns. This temporary, flexible role allows you to choose your working days and start as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils in line with the school curriculum.
• Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behaviour effectively.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching schedules.
• Provide day‑to‑day support with minimal planning and marking responsibilities.

Required profile

• Relevant classroom experience, preferably with Year 1 students.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Adaptability and confidence in varied school settings.
• Proactive, professional attitude and passion for early‑year learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
