About the role
We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Brent from September 2026. You will become part of a supportive KS1 team focused on high‑quality teaching, early literacy and numeracy development, and building pupil confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and creative Year 1 lessons.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Support pupils to achieve strong academic and personal progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
