Year 1 Teacher – Reading (Primary School)

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment.
• Assess pupil progress and use findings to inform teaching.
• Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of all learners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school improvement.
• Encourage the academic, social and emotional development of pupils.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting and inspiring young learners.
• Commitment to achieving high standards and positive outcomes for pupils.
