Year 11 Pastoral Manager – Greenwich

About the role

The school is seeking a compassionate and highly organised Year 11 Pastoral Manager to join its dedicated pastoral team from September 2026. You will support students during the crucial GCSE year, helping them achieve academic success while promoting wellbeing, attendance and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day pastoral care for all Year 11 students.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and wellbeing, intervening promptly when needed.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers to encourage engagement.
• Support students through the GCSE examination period, reducing barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with safeguarding, SEND and inclusion teams to ensure appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate pastoral records and contribute to student review meetings.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and conduct in line with school policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with secondary‑aged young people, preferably in a school setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, empathetic and confident in managing a range of pastoral situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing an individual workload.
