Year 2 Class Teacher – Greenwich (Full‑time)

About the role

A friendly, well‑established Greenwich primary school is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to start in January 2026. You will lead a settled, responsive class in a one‑form entry setting, supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant and a proactive leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑paced KS1 lessons aligned to the national curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for KS1 assessments and monitor their progress.
• Maintain high expectations, positive behaviour, and strong classroom routines.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leadership.
• Collaborate in shared planning time and contribute to whole‑school CPD initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching KS1 and strong curriculum knowledge.
• Confidence in preparing pupils for KS1 assessments.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons and manage behaviour positively.
• Excellent communication skills with parents and staff.
