About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Hayes, Hillingdon, starting September 2026. The school is well‑established, inclusive and community‑focused, offering modern learning spaces and excellent outdoor facilities. This full‑time position is ideal for early‑career teachers or experienced practitioners who want to inspire young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that meet the diverse needs of Year 2 pupils.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders to deliver a high‑quality curriculum.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Year 2 or in a similar primary classroom setting.
• Strong subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with the Update Service.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
