About the role

The Supply Register Ltd, in partnership with Step Academy Trust, is seeking a passionate Year 2 Primary Teacher for Beddington Park Primary School in Croydon. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs for the entire academic year starting September 2026, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons for a Year 2 class in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress, providing appropriate challenge and intervention where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil achievement.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Previous experience teaching within a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Commitment to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
