Year 2 Primary Teacher – Full‑time Temporary

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Primary Teacher for a popular mainstream school in Sutton. The role is full‑time on a temporary contract running until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons across the curriculum.
• Assess, mark and provide feedback on student work.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and communicate progress.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience teaching EYFS/KS1/KS2 in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
