About the role
We are seeking a passionate Year 2 Primary Teacher to join a thriving 3‑form entry primary school in the Borough of Wandsworth, London, from September 2026. The role is permanent, full‑time and offers the chance to develop as an Early‑Career Teacher within an Outstanding‑rated school.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for Year 2 pupils in line with the National Curriculum.
- Contribute to the school’s Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) programmes, including subject, year‑group and phase lead opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of pupil behaviour and wellbeing, fostering a safe and inclusive classroom.
- Participate in whole‑school initiatives, CPD sessions and collaborative planning with senior leadership.
- Undertake regular lesson observations and act on feedback to achieve ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and teaching standards.
- Passion for inspiring young learners and a creative approach to teaching.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required beyond standard classroom tools.
