About the role
We are looking for a motivated Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant to join a well‑established primary school in Waltham Forest, London. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time, supporting the Year 2 class in delivering engaging maths and literacy lessons.
Key responsibilities
- Assist class teachers with daily teaching and learning activities for Year 2.
- Support small‑group and one‑to‑one sessions to raise attainment in maths and literacy.
- Build strong relationships with each pupil and monitor their progress.
- Help create a fun, inclusive and safe learning environment.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with at least a 2:1 degree or experienced teaching assistant.
- Enthusiastic about supporting children of varying abilities.
- Willing to work full‑time (Monday‑Friday) on site.
