Year 2 Teacher – Primary School (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Cheltenham. The role is full‑time and permanent, with an immediate or September start, and offers the chance to shape the learning journey of children transitioning from EYFS to Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons that meet the national curriculum.
• Support pupils through the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities, including pupils with additional needs.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Required profile

• Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Experience in a primary school setting (early career teachers welcome).
• Passionate about high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Confident in managing behaviour and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
