Year 2 Teacher – Primary School (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Great Barr. This full‑time position offers the chance to inspire young learners, build confidence and support their progress through Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 while supporting individual learning journeys.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, well‑managed classroom environment.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and plan next steps.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
• Promote pupils' personal development, wellbeing and confidence.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Ability to motivate and challenge pupils of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate, reliable and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
