Year 2 Teacher – Primary School – Hackney (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Hackney. You will lead a class of 26 pupils, delivering engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum and support each child's academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Year 2 lessons across all core subjects.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with SEN, including ASD and SEMH.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a broad, engaging curriculum.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in England.
• Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (KS1) in a primary setting.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with diverse needs.
