Year 2 Teacher – Primary School in Camden

About the role
A friendly, high‑achieving primary school in Camden is looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join the team from September 2026. This permanent, full‑time position focuses on preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 and supporting a smooth transition to Key Stage 2.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for end‑of‑Key‑Stage‑1 assessments while maintaining a broad curriculum.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform interventions.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations.
- Collaborate with the KS1 team and senior leaders to uphold school standards.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably in a Year 2 class.
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and end‑of‑KS1 expectations.
- Confidence in using assessment to track progress and support attainment.
- Commitment to contributing to the wider school community.
