About the role
We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wembley seeking a dedicated Year 2 teacher to join our team from September 2026 on a permanent basis. You will support young learners in Key Stage 1, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and independence. You will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote pupil progress in literacy and numeracy.
- Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations within the classroom.
- Use assessment data to identify next steps and support pupils of all abilities.
- Support pupils in developing independence and self‑regulation skills.
- Build positive partnerships with families and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Year 2.
- Ability to create a fair, respectful and encouraging learning environment.
- Commitment to consistent communication and professional collaboration.
Required skills
- Lesson planning and delivery.
- Classroom management.
- Assessment and data‑driven instruction.
