About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a “Good” OFSTED‑rated primary school in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will start in September 2026, delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum to pupils aged 6‑7 in a supportive, well‑established environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in reading, writing and mathematics aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
- Maintain a calm, structured classroom and manage behaviour effectively.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet diverse needs.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Uphold high expectations for academic achievement and personal development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Year 2 or KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and core subjects.
- Proven ability to manage behaviour and support pupils with varying needs.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and resilient attitude.
