About the role

Academics is partnering with a supportive primary school in Orpington to recruit a passionate Year 3 teacher. The role is full‑time, starting September 2026, and offers a vibrant, inclusive environment where both pupils and staff can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the national curriculum.
• Create a positive, stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and learning.
• Assess, record and report pupils’ progress in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute actively to school life and uphold a caring, inclusive ethos.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching lower KS2 in a UK primary school (experience as an ECT is also welcomed).
• Strong classroom management and differentiated teaching abilities.
• Creative, motivated and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
• Team‑player who contributes positively to school culture.
