Year 3 Teacher – Primary School (Barnet)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with primary schools in Barnet to recruit a motivated Year 3 Teacher for the September 2026 start. The role can be taken on a full‑time or part‑time basis, delivering the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum to pupils transitioning from Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in reading, writing, mathematics and foundation subjects.
• Assess pupil progress using formative and summative methods and use data to inform planning.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCO and other staff to support learners with SEND and EAL.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour management and foster strong relationships with pupils.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching in primary schools, preferably lower KS2 or upper KS1.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and solid literacy and numeracy expertise.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed‑ability, SEND and EAL classes.
• Positive attitude towards behaviour management and pupil welfare.
