Year 3/4 Teacher

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in the Lancaster area to recruit a dedicated Year 3/4 teacher. The position runs from September to Christmas, covering at least one term, and offers the chance to work with a mixed class of around 30 pupils supported by an experienced teaching assistant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain strong pupil progress tracking.
• Collaborate with the teaching assistant and senior staff to support individual learner needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive attitude towards teaching and pupil development.
