Year 4 Primary School Teacher (Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced Year 4 Primary School Teacher to join an inclusive, two‑form entry school in Tooting, South West London. The position is full‑time, temporary (potentially leading to a permanent contract) and runs from September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver the KS2 curriculum for a Year 4 class.
• Mark assessments, provide feedback and track pupil progress.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and communicate student development.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Support pupils with SEN and EAL needs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding records and follow school policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of KS2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum.
• Proven behaviour management and SEN/EAL experience.
• Current safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
