Year 4 Teacher (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Barking (IG11). The school offers a supportive senior leadership team, a focus on staff wellbeing and strong opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Year 4 lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare teaching resources, mark assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and communicate pupil progress.
• Follow all safeguarding policies and maintain up‑to‑date training.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of one year KS2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (online update service preferred).
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
• Commitment to term‑time teaching from September 2026 to July 2027.
