Year 4 Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time (3‑Month Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Islington for a three‑month maternity cover starting in September. You will lead a class of 26 pupils, delivering engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons for Year 4.
• Assess and record pupil progress, providing feedback in line with statutory requirements.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with senior staff and support teams, especially for SEN provision.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Ability to inspire confidence and independence in pupils.
• Commitment to the school's inclusive ethos.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and delivery for KS2.
• Assessment and data‑driven reporting.
• Classroom management techniques.
