About the role
We are seeking a part‑time Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Catholic primary school in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The role starts in September 2026 and will involve working two days a week (Wednesday and Friday) alongside the class teacher.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Year 4 teacher in delivering the curriculum and monitoring pupil progress.
- Assist with classroom management and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, adapting activities as needed.
- Observe and report student behaviour and attainment to the teacher.
Required profile
- Understanding of the Catholic curriculum and willingness to uphold the school’s ethos.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a school setting.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
