Year 4 Teaching Assistant – Rossendale (BB4)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a well‑regarded primary school in Rossendale (BB4). The role runs from September 2026 until the end of the academic year, supporting high standards of teaching and learning in a Key Stage 2 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and support small‑group interventions for Year 4 pupils.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
• Provide targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Help maintain a positive, well‑behaved classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with staff to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Recent experience working within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 4.
• Confidence delivering small‑group interventions.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.
