Year 4 Teaching Assistant (Sept–July) – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for Year 4 to join a welcoming two‑form entry school in Sutton Coldfield. The role runs from September to July, covering the full academic year, and focuses on supporting pupils with numeracy and literacy development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted assistance to Year 4 students who need extra support in numeracy and literacy.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to implement differentiated learning activities.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the teaching team.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Take initiative in planning and delivering small‑group or one‑to‑one sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience in a school setting.
• Strong confidence and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with pupils, teachers, and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
