Year 5 Class Teacher

About the role

Sanza Teaching Agency is recruiting on behalf of a modern primary school in Haringey for a Year 5 Class Teacher. The role starts after the Easter break and runs from September 2026 to July 2027, covering the full academic year on a full‑time, five‑day week basis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
• Use formative assessment to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
• Maintain effective classroom management using positive behaviour techniques.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support student development.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a solid understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
• Proven experience teaching Year 5 or a similar age group and raising attainment.
• Strong commitment to inclusive, differentiated teaching and assessment for learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enthusiasm for continuous professional development.
