Year 5 Primary Teacher – Fixed Term (Sept 2026 – Apr 2027)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join a friendly primary school in Luton on a fixed‑term contract from September 2026 to April 2027. You will deliver the Key Stage 2 curriculum, create an inclusive classroom and support pupils through an important stage of their primary education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Set high expectations for achievement and conduct.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to optimise outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, either as an experienced teacher or an early‑career teacher.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to delivering inspiring, student‑centred lessons.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
