Year 5 Primary Teacher (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a friendly primary school in Luton to recruit a Year 5 Class Teacher on a fixed‑term contract from September 2026 to April 2027. This role offers the chance to shape the learning experience of Key Stage 2 pupils and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons that meet the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Differentiate instruction to address diverse abilities and monitor progress.
• Assess, record and report on pupil attainment and development.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to optimise outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to delivering inspiring, engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
