Year 5 Primary Teacher – Fixed‑Term (Sept 2026 – Apr 2027)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a friendly primary school in Luton to recruit a Year 5 Class Teacher on a fixed‑term contract from September 2026 to April 2027. This role offers the chance to shape Key Stage 2 learners, deliver engaging lessons and support pupils through an important stage of their education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Set and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to optimise outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to delivering engaging, inspiring lessons.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Open to both experienced teachers and confident early‑career teachers.
