Year 5 Primary Teacher – Full‑time Temporary Contract

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Year 5 Primary Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Leyton (E10). The role is a full‑time temporary contract covering the academic year, starting September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Year 5 lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and other communication events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of EYFS/KS1/KS2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS registered with the online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
