Year 5 Primary Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time Role

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Year 5 Primary Teacher for an inclusive, one‑form entry school in Kenley, Croydon. The role is a full‑time, term‑time position starting September 2026, offering the chance to join a supportive senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum.
• Mark assessments, provide feedback and organise parent evenings.
• Manage classroom behaviour and support pupils with SEN/EAL needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of KS2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective behaviour management.
• Extensive experience supporting SEN and EAL learners.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check.
