Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Year 5 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Wembley (HA9). The role is full‑time, term‑time only, providing one‑to‑one support to SEN pupils in Year 5.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to SEN children during lessons and activities.
• Implement and follow the teacher’s lesson plans and adapt resources as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support interventions.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year classroom support experience in a UK school setting.
• Previous experience working with SEN pupils.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
