About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher for a permanent, full‑time position starting in September at a welcoming primary school in Gillingham, Kent. The role involves delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons to a lively Year 5 cohort and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, well‑structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement, progress and conduct.
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies and clear classroom routines.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
- Contribute to the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Upper KS2.
- Proven ability to manage a range of classroom behaviours effectively.
- Commitment to collaborative work within a supportive staff team.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
