Year 5 Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join one of our vibrant Brent schools for the September 2026 term. You will lead a KS2 classroom, encouraging pupils to think bigger, question everything and prepare for the transition to secondary education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Maintain strong year‑group support and monitor pupil progress.
• Utilise excellent classroom resources to foster a love of learning.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Two professional teaching references.
• Current DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
• Confidence and experience leading a KS2 classroom.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management.
• Ability to design and deliver curriculum‑focused lessons.
• Strong communication with pupils, parents and staff.
