Year 5 Teacher – Key Stage 2

About the role

Randstad Education is partnering with a friendly, forward‑thinking primary school in Knowsley to recruit a dedicated Year 5 teacher. You will take full responsibility for a KS2 class, creating a safe and engaging environment where pupils can achieve high standards in reading, writing and maths.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, focusing on core subjects.
• Manage all aspects of teaching, from lesson planning to assessment and reporting.
• Implement inclusive and differentiated strategies to meet the needs of every learner.
• Track pupil progress and contribute to school‑wide assessment and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early‑career teachers are welcome.
• Proven classroom experience in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5 or 6.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and community impact.
• Reliable, reflective practitioner with a desire for professional growth.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service and right to work in the UK.
