Year 5 Teacher (KS2) – Full‑time Primary School in Bury

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bury for the upcoming academic year. The role is full‑time and will involve delivering the KS2 curriculum to a mixed‑ability class while supporting the school’s inclusive ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons using the school’s established schemes of work.
• Contribute to creative curriculum planning and adapt resources for SEND and EAL pupils.
• Promote reading for pleasure and develop pupils’ vocabulary.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Participate in wider school activities and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching KS2 (Year 5) pupils.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a diverse range of abilities, including SEND and EAL.
• Commitment to pupil and staff wellbeing.
• Positive, collaborative attitude within a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with White Rose Maths schemes.
• Use of high‑quality literacy resources.
