About the role

We are seeking a passionate Year 5 teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Chatham. The role starts in January 2027 (with the possibility of an earlier start) and is primarily full‑time, with a potential part‑time arrangement of four days per week.

Key responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess KS2 curriculum for Year 5 pupils.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching resources and share best practices.
Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and communicate progress to parents.
Participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
Demonstrated experience teaching KS2.
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Strong organisational and communication abilities.
Confident knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
