Year 6 Primary Teacher – Full‑time Temporary Position

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Year 6 Primary Teacher for a Good‑rated mainstream primary school in West London. The role is full‑time, temporary and runs from September 2026 to July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver the Year 6 curriculum across all core subjects.
• Assess student progress, mark work and provide constructive feedback.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Enhanced DBS check with online update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Current safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to plan lessons and assess student outcomes effectively.
