Year 6 Teacher – Primary School (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school in Manchester. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction and preparing pupils for the transition to secondary education while maintaining a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Prepare students for end‑of‑year assessments and secondary school transition.
• Monitor attainment, analyse data and implement strategies to support progress.
• Maintain a positive, focused learning atmosphere and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to enhance pupil outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of Year 6 curriculum expectations.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Passion for raising attainment and building pupil confidence.
