Young Person Support Worker – Flexible Shifts

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to support vulnerable children and young people in the Redcar area. The role involves helping them build confidence, independence and resilience while providing a safe, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing person‑centred support to children and young people
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Supporting daily activities and routines
- Promoting independence, life skills and social development
- Managing and de‑escalating challenging behaviours when required
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive mental health
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Working alongside families and multidisciplinary professionals
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times
Required profile
- Caring, compassionate and patient
- Reliable and committed to supporting vulnerable young people
- Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communicator with strong relationship‑building skills
- Passionate about helping children achieve positive outcomes
- Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts
