YouShape Coordinator – Part‑time (15 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a YouShape Coordinator to support a year‑long journey for young adults (18‑30) across local hubs in Oxford. The role is part‑time (15 hours per week) on a three‑year fixed‑term contract, working within the Discipleship and Social Justice Team to deliver the Diocesan strategy for young adult ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate operational activities, including prayer convenings, preparation and distribution of discipleship materials, and core administration.
• Plan and manage budgets for hub events, retreats, pilgrimages and other programmes.
• Develop and maintain clear communication links with existing and future hubs, supporting conveners and ensuring compliance with diocesan policies.
• Serve as an active member of the YouShape Board of Reference, providing data, monitoring actions and reporting progress.
• Carry out general administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience working collaboratively in complex communication settings.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver specific outputs as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills, capable of planning and coordinating multiple programme activities and events.
• Flexibility to work under pressure and comfort with some ambiguity.
• Understanding and sympathy with the ethos of the Church of England and passion for working with young adults.

What we offer

• Salary £33,627.11 per year pro‑rated (£13,632.43 for the part‑time hours).
• 15 hours per week, onsite in Oxford/Kidlington.
