1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Streatham (Sept start)

About the role

This contract position starts in September and provides dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND in a large all‑through academy in Streatham. The role is ideal for psychology graduates seeking hands‑on experience in education, SEND and child development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised learning support to a designated pupil, adapting resources and strategies to meet their needs.
• Implement support plans that promote independence both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate with specialist staff, including SEND leaders, speech and language therapists, and teaching staff.
• Monitor progress and help the pupil achieve personal and academic targets.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
• Genuine interest in SEND and inclusive education.
• Experience (paid or voluntary) supporting children or young people with autism, speech & language, or SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, resilience, patience and a proactive attitude.
