1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (West London)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a mainstream primary school in West Ealing, West London. The position starts at the upcoming half‑term and is full‑time, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on the child’s learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to the ASD pupil throughout the school day.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning strategies and visual schedules.
• Assist with classroom tasks, small‑group activities and transitions.
• Promote social and emotional development and encourage peer interaction.
• Implement and follow behaviour plans, visual timetables and IEP targets.
• Contribute to observations, progress tracking and hand‑over notes.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children with ASD in a school setting.
• Confidence delivering 1:1 support in a mainstream classroom.
• Strong behaviour management skills and patience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other TAs and parents.
• Reliability, professionalism and adaptability.
• Relevant SEN support or teaching assistance qualifications (Level 3 preferred but not essential).
