About the role
Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex needs in a specialist school in Hillingdon. The role is full‑time, long‑term and requires immediate availability.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one social, emotional and academic support to help the student access the curriculum.
- Use Makaton and visual aids to facilitate communication and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized learning plans.
- Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.
Required profile
- Minimum of one academic year’s experience in an SEN setting.
- Experience working with pupils who have ASD and complex needs.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Commitment to a long‑term, full‑time position.
Required skills
- Makaton communication.
- Use of visual aids for learning support.
