1:1 SEND Support – Full-time Early Years Role

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support professional to work in our Play Away Day Nursery in Southampton. You will provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, helping them engage in sensory play, daily routines and safety activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver stimulating, age-appropriate experiences and resources for children with SEN.
• Promote hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery and embed these practices in daily routines.
• Assist with daily routines, sensory and regulating activities, and ensure a safe environment.
• Undertake additional duties to support smooth operation of the setting.
• Maintain professional relationships and report any concerns in line with company policy.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English (essential).
• Experience working with children with SEN (desirable).
• Background in early years settings (desirable).
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo DBS and enhanced checks.
