1:1 Teaching Assistant for Psychology Graduates (SEN)

About the role
This full‑time, term‑time position offers psychology graduates hands‑on experience supporting children and young people with complex additional needs in a specialist day school. You will work one‑to‑one with students, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills while learning from experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning in the classroom and across the wider school environment.
- Encourage communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Assist with personalised learning programmes and outdoor/community activities.
- Promote independence and everyday life skills.
- Provide personal care and physical support where required.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
Required profile
- Recent psychology graduate with a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
- Considering a career in clinical, educational, or therapeutic psychology, or related health and social care fields.
- Calm, patient, resilient and able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
